Mostly news
Hey doods! I now have two jobs and have been trying to finish a script so I apologize for my lack of updates.
The script I've been working on has been for upcoming F*X*T Magazine! There's still time to DONATE (well, not much time...so do it fast if you're interested!! Only a little more needed!) Also, fyi, F*X*T Mag is currently accepting illustrators, so if anyone is interested in getting their work published, I'd go ahead and apply!
There was an article written about it featuring a quote and art from me! You can read it HERE.
My sister is getting married in August! I designed these Save The Dates to her liking, and will soon be creating a more illustrative invitation to send out (these save the dates were a rush job...). They'll be made into magnets, which I think is pretty handy/cute.
Also SpringCon is coming up sooooooo I gotta get crackin' in preparing. ALSO AND VERY EXCITING is something that I will share later after more details! But it'll be happening on the same weekend as Spring Con (May 15th and 16th, but the important-est date is May 14th)!

Depression
Two doodles since it looks like another busyyyy weekend.
Seems like now that it's spring and sunny I've heard more and more people complain/worry about being depressed (myself included). Doesn't that seem backwards?
A lady gossip.

Warm-ups
Obfuscate
First, importantly, I'm happy to say my story was accepted into upcoming F*X*T Magazine! You can read about the announcement HERE as well as more information on the magazine. There's a widget about it also on the bottom of this post (technology willing). This is exciting for MANY reasons, but will mean that I have to write out a 100-ish page script by the start of May.
Also, one of my illustrations appears in Blanket Magazine ! It's just a single illustration that fits into the theme, so don't feel obligated on my part of buy the magazine, HOWEVER it is a very lovely magazine with some pretty kickass interviews from other artists.
Since I finished a short comic last week, this week was lacking in some creative energy. To inspire me and to keep me doodling, I've been warming up by illustrating Merriam-Webster's word of the day. It's pretty fun and challenges me to think creatively.
I'd LOVE to do these with watercolors but I'm out of watercolor paper....as well as bristol...and most of my pens have stopped working....So these were done on cardstock from kinko's with some markers until I get another paycheck (IF EVER).
