YAY! Spring! I've been bike riding and LOVING this weather! Warm, but still cool enough for me to wear tights. I have a cup of tea waiting so I can sip it on my back porch, read some Sappho, and watch my laundry (freshly washed in my sink) dry.
HERE ARE SOME DUMB BIRDS!

HERE IS A CREEPY LADY!

March is National Woman's Month (or something. Maybe National Woman's History Month) so in celebration I sketched some portraits on vellum of my favorite authors, who all coincidentally are female!
Jeanette Winterson, my all time favorite author (she's got a thing for passion).

Angela Carter, another feminist author.

Sappho. Is there a pattern here?

Anais Nin. Yes, definitely a pattern.

Jillian Tamaki recommends keeping an ink-only sketchbook so I've decided to try it out. Alas, I've had the sketchbook for only a few days an only have a few pages left. I will hopefully getting another soon and might make a zine out of the sketches.
