Here is my new poster I'll have for sale, it features little pirates and little sailors.

Guide to Grooming Zine

Hello! A few things! First, enjoy these drawing from my new Guide To Grooming zine. The first image talks about how shaving your legs takes up too much precious time, so don't worry about doing it. The second one explains that bad breath is a good way to avoid conversations with people you don't want to talk to.

ALSO! Check out my new updated WEBSITE HERE! It's still being tweaked so be patient with it and any glitches you find. It has the competed Onion Mama comic as well as some other cool things you may want to read up on. It was created by Evan Palmer because he's a super nice guy! THANKS EVAN!

And third important topic! I'm doing a new comic/zine thing about periods and puberty for girls. I've found out (from many heart-to-heart conversations and my own experiences) that most girls are not prepared at all for the start of their periods and body hair and bra shopping and suddenly having to use deodorant and all that jazz that comes along with puberty. I'm going to be writing and drawing about these topics with humor and blunt honesty (for example, yes you will ruin some underwear when you start getting your period, but it wont end there. You will be ruining underwear until menopause. It's a fact and anyone who says otherwise is lying).

I'm asking for submissions or stories about your own experiences during puberty ladies. I'm going to be adding 'real life stories' throughout the book so be graphic and honest please. The point is to show other girls-hopefully young girls going through this or about to-understand that it is awkward and embarrassing but it's awkward and embarrassing for everyone. Feel free to submit more than one story (most girls have a pretty good period story, but I'd also like stories about telling your folks about your period, side affects of your period, boobs and bra shopping, shaving, and B.O. ect ect). If you are more comfortable with the story being anonymous that's totally fine, just let me know. Otherwise if you wanna include a drawing or a short comic with your submission (or just a written one, this isn't just for artists) that's awesoommmeee! Email it to me at anna.claire.bongiovanni@gmail.com
THANKS!

Top Shelf 2.0!

The Feast (the collaboration comic between Evan Palmer and I, that probably everyone who follows this blog has already heard about) is up on Top Shelf 2.0!! <-----Click! Look! Pretty!

I'm so excited to have my story, and Evan's kick-ass art, up on the website next to other amazing cartoonist who I might someday rub elbows with or talk to in person!

For those people who don't know, The Feast is for sale up on my Etsy. If you found yourself so in love with the story and would like a lovely hard copy please buy it for the low price of four dollars. Three pages of character sketches that are not on the website are included in the book!

YAY SO EXCITED! Now I will celebrate by making slow-cooker brownies! They take four hours to cook...I can think of no better use of time!

Mary Stuart Opera

I had the opportunity recently to watch and sketch the Minnesota Opera's Mary Stuart. The costumes were fantastic, the music was awesome, and I was able to sit and draw with a bunch of awesome cartoonists.

Here's some of my sketches!

See the other awesome sketches done that night HERE!!

Upcoming things!

A couple of months ago I swore I'd never do another wedding invitation. They can be really stressful to work on and brides seem to be teetering on the edge of insanity. But people keep getting married and I keep doing invitations for friends! Oh well!

This is for my best friend Kara Goodness! Front and back (click to read it)

ALSO. I have created a poster for Robots From The Future and their upcoming show on February 18th at Memory Lanes! I will be going and will probably be focusing more on whiskey sours than bowling.

Other people should come so we can listen to some sweet tunes and discuss everyones favorite beverage to drink while bowling!!
